UX Writing Intern

As a UX Writing Intern I learned from UX senior writing wizard Andrea Seamands. She took me under her wing, oversaw my time there and mentored me everyday. Not only do I owe a great deal of my writing dexterity to her, I am immensely grateful for the confidence in myself that she sparked as a young female professional very green to the 'adult table'.

I had the chance to be part of the product team as well as collaborate with other departments with the goal to bring our tone of voice throughout the product. I learned not only the main industry tools but set for myself and achieved many of my personal and professional goals in this role.

Here's some of the projects I worked on:

FAQs Re-writing and Lokalisation

Message Bot Copywriting

SEO optimisation project

I rewrote some of the most viewed FAQs for a clearer, more useful user experience. I worked with department heads, support agents and developers. These are just some of those:

These I also sent for, and reviewed all the translations so fans in different markets get the best experience.

I worked with the customer support agent, UX researcher and senior UX writer and was responsible for the content and tone of the final copy for the customer bot. This is a large initiative to better help fans with their questions and  queries.

I worked with the SEO team to optimise the copy for search engine results. It was a great success as we started ranking higher straight away.
