Caerus PR Position – Board

My time as the First Public Relations Officer for Caerus Student Assosciation was invaluable to an understanding and exploration of not only administrative work and organisation but also a great chance for lots of creativity and fun.

In the slide show are just some of the posters, newsletter and instagram posts I created as well as announcements for the wall, calls to join committees and photo sessions I arranged.

My role included:

  • Graphic design and advertisement through the right channels
  • Creating and maintaining a consistent tone for the association
  • Creating merchandise like stickers
  • Photographing/ arranging photographers for events
  • Newsletter
  • Creating transitions documents as I was the first ever PR officer
  • Maintaining good relations with other associations at networking events
  • Maintaining and updating the website

Pixel – Promotional Committee

Pixel is the promotional committee I revived and chaired after the pandemic while I was on the board of Caerus. Although I do not have many pictures from that time, collaborating with talented dedicated students was a pleasure and a great source of light in a busy time. The premise was to share each other skills to strengthen that of the group. The mission was to also create a place where the faculty could turn to when they needed promotional material or photographers. Events need creatives, young creatives need practise! Here are some things we did in the time I was chair:

  • Had three workshops for different skills – video editing, photography, colour theory and graphic design
  • Attended careers day to photograph professional headshots for our students
  • Created a logo for the organisation, a mission a vision and a transition document
  • Created an instagram to share the photographs we take and edit and archive in a collective memory for the school
